I Learned Everything From the Simple Golf Swing Book

I will always be an avid golfer. This is not to say that I have been playing golf professionally. What I am trying to say is that I just play it as a hobby. However, even if it is just a hobby, it is one that is near and dear to me. Golf has always been my great passion. I got addicted to golf when I was just nineteen years old. Back then, I really thoughtof becoming a professional golfer. But of course, things did not turn out the way I planned and most of my time was spent in school and work. My golf swing was simply not that good even though I played regularly twice a month. But that was before I stumbled onto the Simple Golf Swing E-book.

A player’s golf swing is the most fundamental skill that one needs to build up in order to play golf well. This is because even before you are able to figure in the wind direction to your game, even before you learn to putt correctly, you will have to learn how to swing correctly at the start of each game. Getting your swing right is half the journey probably even more than half of it to playing like a professional.

Most players think that they could learn a lot by watching the pros. While this may have some truth, thinking this way can be dangerous. This is because the thing a person is likely to pick up from these golfers is their swing. But most if not all golfers has his or her own unique swing posture. You can’t just copy Tiger Wood’s swing just by looking at the way he swings. It takes more than a lifetime of hard practice. One also needs to be born with a certain natural talent. This is because a professional golfer’s swing is created by one’s unique body type and his genetic prowess. Attempting to learn Tiger’s swing might in fact hurt our body. You will have to constantly stress parts of your body time after time. If your body is not suited to that swing, then it may cause you injury.

This is the reason the Simple Golf Swing was created in the first place. It isn’t just one generic swing technique. The Simple Golf Swing is an entire system that slowly helps you in finding a swing of your own. It starts you with a “simple” or generic swing system that fits all body types. The e book is complete with simple basic instructions and many sample images. Many who have bought might not have turned into golf pros. But like me, their golf swing has gotten so much better and they are now able to enjoy their golfing experiences to the fullest.

La Torre Golf Resort Course Guide

One thing you’re sure to want to know about when considering buying a Polaris World La Torre Golf Resort property is how the golf course plays. While considering your choice of Polaris World apartments, townhouses or villas at La Torre, book an 18-hole round of golf and test your game on the Nicklaus designed international championship course which boasts a 5-star clubhouse, restaurant, bars and golfing facilities. In this article we’ll give you a guide to the La Torre golf course and some of the current Polaris World properties that are available to buy.

How to get to La Torre Golf Resort

The course at La Torre is situated just outside of the old village of Roldan in the Murcia region on the east coast of Spain. The closest airport, situated in San Javier, is just 10km from the resort (the airport itself is called Murcia Airport) and there are plenty of low-cost flights out of the UK that land here. Once you’ve landed you’re just a 15 minute drive from La Torre. Should your flight land at Alicante airport you'll have a 55 minute journey to La Torre. In 2010 a new airport will open in Corvera which is just a 20 minute drive away.

La Torre Golf Resort

Within the Polaris World La Torre golf resort there’s a town centre with extensive modern amenities including the 5-star Crowne Plaza Hotel and Spa (containing 200 rooms, indoor pool, gym). Arranged around a magnificent lake, the town also boasts restaurants, bars, boutiques, tennis courts, a swimming pool complex and supermarkets all linked to the golfing greens, parks and properties by wide tree-lined avenues and streets. The resort has a Mediterranean and Floridian appeal largely due to the development being based on Fort Lauderdale in Florida, USA.

La Torre Golf Course Guide

The La Torre Golf Course was designed by Michael Nicklaus for Nicklaus Design – one of the world’s leading golf course design companies headed by the legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus. Michael Nicklaus is the youngest son of Jack and his course forms part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail of 9 courses within a 25km radius (as a Polaris World property owner you have discounted green fees at the courses located in La Torre, Condado de Alhama, Mar Menor, El Valle, Hacienda Riquelme and La Loma resorts).

So, how does La Torre play? The 18-holes are spread across 5 hectares of beautiful surroundings that combine with and enhance the resort itself. There are various changes in the level of the terrain, sculptured bunkers and three lakes which means this course offers picturesque views at whichever hole you're playing.

La Torre is a par 68 course with four tees per hole (colour coded black, blue, white and red) which will suit all abilities. The course is kind to those with a higher handicap giving you plenty of safe routes to the pin. For the low handicappers, there are opportunities to take riskier shots particularly on the Par 3's and 4's where there's plenty of sand and water hazards to negotiate. Should you find yourself in the bunkers, the sand is top quality so the ball never sits too low which helps your escape shot (although you'll still need some skill!).

La Torre comprises 6 Par 3 holes, 10 Par 4 holes and 2 Par 5's – this means the course requires a strategic approach and demands accuracy over distance. Although the course is by no means short (and your driver will be called into action), you'll need to be on form with your wedges and irons as the greens are well protected by hazards. With forward tee positions on the Par 5’s, the big hitters among you will reach the greens in two shots. The first Par 5 is sited on the front nine at the 7th hole with the second on the back nine at the 12th.

Course fees vary depending on the season. High season is: February, March, April, May, October and November. Low season is: January, June, July, August, September and December. As a visitor, expect to pay around 60 Euros in low season and 80 Euros in high.

As a Polaris World property owner your green fees will be lower at around 55 Euros for 18 holes although there are special afternoon and twilight rates that can cost around 20-25 Euros.

Residents can also buy vouchers for 4 or 10 rounds:

A 4 round voucher (lasts 1 month) costs 200 Euros.

A 10 round voucher (2 months) costs 440 Euros.

There are also options to purchase yearly memberships (limited numbers) or a 25 year Golf Right.

La Torre Golf Course Facilities

Before setting off on your round there’s a well-equipped practice area and driving range to get your game in order before you begin play. The course also offers a first class pro-shop and lessons with the course professionals are available (subject to booking fees and availability).

For those seeking refreshments before or after their round, the club house offers the Wood House Bar with a terrace overlooking the putting greens and practice area or on the first floor you’ll find the Pinos Bar famed for its live music. Overlooking the lake and 9th holes is La Encina Buffet Restaurant offering a great range of grilled meat, fish and salad dishes

Your First Golf Clubs

You will no doubt agree, your golf clubs can really make a difference in how well you play the game of golf. As in many walks of life, the tools of the trade are so vitallyin important to help you progress further in your chosen career or sporting prowess. Modern developments in golf club technologies make lighter, bigger, and better golf clubs available to the experienced as well as inexperienced golfer. Having said that, how exactly do you know what to look for in golf clubs?

For the novice golfer, a standard set of golf clubs consists of drivers, wedges, putters and irons. Using the the most appropriate type of golf club will benefit the beginner, help them learn quickly and, above all, be successful. The different kind of club is designed to assist with swing speed and to rectify faults to improve your game – and, ultimately, your score.

As a starter, you must take into account the style, size, and type of material used to make the golf club shaft. A relatively inexpensive type of materials is steel. Golf clubs with a steel shaft weigh more but can be longer-lasting than other types. The steel shaft may also give you more control over those fast swings. If your prefernce is a graphite shaft, it will be lighter than steel but will be cost more. This type of club is used for long distance shots or for slower swingers. Luckily, most golf clubs are available with both steel and graphite shafts.

Mind you though you should always bear in mind the fact that graphite shafts will not only be lighter and easier to handle, they will also be more forgiving if you have a bad shot. They absorb vibration and allow for a much better feeling shot. Furthermore, you will add greater distance because the speed of the swing will be greater as a result of the lighter materials.
.
The flexibility of a shaft is referred to as flex, or bend. The more inflexibility in a shaft, the greater control the powerful swinger will be able to exercise. Furthermore, beginners and those with less powerful swings normally use a shaft with greater flexibility. You may be surprised to learn that a newbie’s swing speed is approximately 65 miles per hour while a more experienced, powerful swinger’s speed can be up to 100 miles per hour.

When it comes to choosing a golf club driver, especially if you are a relative novice, you will in all likelihood want one with a head made out of titanium. Titanium is stronger, thicker, and lighter than steel so the club head can be produced larger with the same amount of materials. The benefit of having a large head driver is there is a larger “sweet spot” giving you a bigger area to hit the ball with. With this type of golf club head, the club will be much more forgiving if you mis-hit the ball or hit a bad shot.

The overall aim when selecting golf clubs ought to be to own the best golf clubs you can afford, whether they are popular brand names, used, or a reproduction of one of the brand names. Whichever you choose, be careful with your selection because a incorrect decision can prove to be very costly. If you are a golfing beginner and you want to be more certain then by all means ask a more seasoned golfer for their opinion. If this helps you to make the right decision in choosing your golf clubs then it will be worth it.

Once you have your new golf clubs then always remember to take care of them properly. Taking care of your golf clubs and putting in the necessary practice time will inevitably improve your game immensely. Happy Golfing!!

Learning a Masterful New Golf Swing Technique

As the year’s progress and you become a wiser golfer, there is a sense of when to start bringing down your swing.  It’s just a way of telling yourself you’ve accumulated a good golf swing technique.

While it may sound a little confusing, it’s not.  All it means is that you need to focus a little more on your hands when having the ultimate golf swing.  You will notice the pressure that builds up into your arm and shoulder acknowledging the upper arm leverage.  It’s kind of like a thermometer as it works its way to your fever rate.

The idea is to have your downswing run in a fluent motion with your golf backswing.  One should work right into the other as you repeat the process in a reverse motion as you come back to the ball.  What it comes down to is the unity between the two that offers a durable swing over and over again.

In order to get the most power out of your new golf swing, it doesn’t include swinging harder.  Time and time again you’ll find golfers swinging for the fences in their downswing and coming up short.  This is because you need to slow down the action and allow the club and hands to generate the power for you.  So the next time you work on this, just remember to sense the pressure and release it as you’re coming down.

You have to understand the importance of the downswing.  If you can get a handle on it you’ll be able to slow down the drive of the hands and bring them and your inner arm across the body.  While this is crucial, it’s also important to learn how to properly shift your weight in the lower part of the body.  Then of course you need to remember keep the shaft behind the hands.

The end result means more power in your hand when you hit the top of your backswing.  Most importantly you can free up the hands a bit to allow them to work a little more freely.  If you can do this you’ll have a club face that’s square and more power to drive through the ball.

When you get to this point you will notice the club head ends up in an eight o’ clock position.  Granted, it will probably take some practice for you to reach this point, but when you do the result is always a positive one.

However, I would consider this one of the most difficult positions in your golf swing.  I see pupils have problems with it all the time, which you will have to work a little harder to perfect.  The good news is you can master this technique like many of the pros and drastically improve your golf scores.  It’s all about constant accuracy with any club and keeping the same hitting line.

One of the best ways to look at it is by watching a mediocre golfer.  Sure they may hit hard, but their accuracy is all over the place.  Why?  A lot of it has to do with hand control and timing that never forms a repetitive nature.  When this happens you will see the club head winding up in different locations as it comes through the ball.

The best way to work on this is by using at least three balls and hitting them with the same club.  Granted, it all depends on the ground and which way the balls bounce, but take a look at the landing areas.  If they’re all over the place then you’re having problems.

Just remember, you can fix this with a little work.  The goal is to give you enough hand room to set the club head in the appropriate position.  If you can’t reach this pinnacle, then it’s important to find the appropriate help.

Okay, now that we’ve gone over how to shape your delivery, it’s time to start working on it.  Just remember that getting your hands to hit that eight o’clock position is extremely important.  The end result will allow more accuracy and power to go into the ball.

You just have to want to get the right golf swing technique for your golf short game.  Do this and you’ll improve it dramatically.
