Beginning golf made easy
Just like any other activity played for the first time, you need to know some golf lesson before you can actually swing your golf club. These courses need not come from Tiger Woods or from your treasured experience in the US Open. A few simple things will suffice.
Of course, you need to know your best friend - your club. Just like a tennis racket or a baseball bat, this defines your sport. A golf club is made of steel strong enough to unleash your power even if you make a gentle swing. Since it is your best friend, you need to give a part of you to have it. Buying your own club is actually second in expense next to your membership in a golf country club.
You also need to understand the object of your club- that is, the golf ball. Your are to use your club not to spike the golf ball or to shoot it, but a simple terminology of ‘to put the ball’ is a simple golf lesson that you also need to be familiar with, that is, to ‘put the ball’ is to put it in a hole. A golf ball is created in such a way that it is hard on the outside to withstand the force of your club as you swing it, but at the same time hollow on the inside to fly a long distance. Your objective is to put it in the hole with a few swings as possible.
The next golf lesson that you need to learn is how to get the most out of your golf club. I think this is the most important part of your golf lessons. The secret of putting the golf ball is not on how hard you have made your swing but a little artistry is involved. To merely swing it and make contact with the ball and hit it, however, is not enough.
To put is a little tricky that you need to acquaint yourself of some terminologies as part of your golf instruction . Perhaps a simple Physics lingo, but not really an overdose, is all you need. Part of your golf instruction is to know and locate your trajectory. What is a trajectory? A trajectory is so simple to understand. It is an imaginary path that the golf ball should traverse in order to put it in the cup. This is of importance especially when you ‘drive the ball’, that is, to make your first swing and the first hole is quite so distant from the tee. A trajectory requires some sort of perfect body language to follow it as accurately as possible. Simple tips such as having the correct stance, proper alignment when you bend to prepare to swing, keeping your elbows straight as much as possible after you have made your swing, and making a full swing, are just some of the keys in supporting your trajectory.
Lastly, playing golf is not as cheap as playing basketball in terms of amenities. You cannot just play it anywhere. As part of your golf lessons, you are to know also that it may require an special membership in a country club. It is a fact that golf is one of the sports considered to be elitist considering the cost it entails to enjoy it. Membership in a country club alone already costs so a ton. But if you are eager to follow the footsteps of Tiger Woods, golf is surely something worth investing for.
