Step 2. Once you are done with the exterior cleaning, you should use the post clamp cleaner to clean the terminals of the battery and the cable clamps’ inside. After cleaning them you can reconnect the terminals with the help of the clamps and put a thin coating of petroleum jelly over it.
Step 3. The next step involves the addition of water to the battery. You should take care to see that water is added only after the batteries have been charged fully. The water that is used for this purpose should be distilled water.
Step 4. See that the batteries are regularly filled with water and the water level is always above the battery plates.
